Pupil Premium 2015-2016

In addition to the main school funding schools are allocated additional monies, based on the number of pupils who are eligible for free school meals.

On the DfE website there is more information which explains that schools decide how this pupil premium funding is spent.

Since September, 2012 there is a requirement to publish information online about how we are using this funding to help increase the attainment of eligible pupils. Regular updates will be reported at the Governors’ Curriculum and Finance committees of the impact on learning outcomes.

For the 2015-2016 academic year the allocated pupil premium is £106,100 which will be spent as a result of identifying priorities :

1.       Two additional teachers and one teaching assistant have been bought to provide individual and small group support in English and Maths. Senior staff, alongside class teachers, identify underachievement using assessment for learning strategies to effectively plan the more intensive support.

2.       Resources have been sourced for Reading, Writing and Maths for Narrowing the Gap interventions.

3.      Feedback from parent information afternoons in September has identified Maths and English workshops again this year.  This has been very popular and well attended in the past and also strengthens the partnership between home and school.
